Bill Levett has withdrawn as Australia’s travelling reserve for Eventing after his horse Alexander NJ sustained a minor injury. While Levett’s horse will make a full recovery, he won’t overcome the injury in time for the horses’ departure for Rio on Friday. Equestrian Australia (EA) is currently making arrangements for Samantha Birch and Hunter Valley II to fill the travelling reserve position. Australia is permitted one travelling reserve for Eventing.
Australia’s premier equestrian competition, the Australian International Three Day Event (Aus3de), will be held on 3-6 November this year. The world’s best horse and riders in eventing, the Triathlon of Horse Sport, will compete for the biggest prize pool in the Southern Hemisphere at the prestigious 2016 Event.
Thousands of locals, visitors, and equestrian enthusiasts will flock to Adelaide’s beautiful East Parklands for four action packed days of world class horse sport with riders competing for more than $150,000 in prize money up in the heart of the city.
To add to the FEI Classic Adelaide 4* and Horseland CCI2*, for the first time, the 2016 Australian International 3 Day Event will include a new event, the RM Williams CIC3* and a Twilight Equestrian Gala on Friday 4 November.
Aus3DE Event Director Gillian Rolton said the 2016 Aus3de promises to be a fabulous showcase of equestrian sport at its best.

The 2016 Australian International 3 Day Event (Aus3DE) is the pinnacle of horse sports in Australia and is one of the six top level Federation Equestre International (FEI) Classic Series events held around the world annually.
